USFK to Spend $11 Bil. on Force Enhancement by 2006

The U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) on Saturday announced an US$11 billion force enhancement plan to be implemented over the next three years, including the deployment of Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) anti-ballistic missiles.

The USFK held a joint press conference with Korea's Defense Ministry at the ministry's headquarters to announce the plan after a meeting between Defense Minister Cho Young-kil and USFK Commander Gen. Leon LaPorte.
