Foreign Journalists to be Invited to Promote S. Korea

The Korean Culture and Information Service will invite 15 foreign journalists from six countries as part of a project to promote Korea's cultural and social facets overseas.
 
The invitees will include those from the Mexican state-run broadcaster Canal Once, the Uzbek public broadcaster NTRC, Egyptian satellite broadcaster Nile TV, Polish public broadcaster TVP Kultura, Brazilian broadcaster Rede Brasil de Televisao and Turkish news channel Haberturk TV.
 
During their stay in South Korea from April 24th to May seventh, the journalists will visit the site for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games, the Creative Economy Leader Venture Complex, the National Museum of Korea and the Demilitarized Zone.
 
Other destinations also include Changdeok Palace in Seoul and Yangdong Village in Gyeongju, which are UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites, and and a market in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province.
 
They will also visit South Korean government and economic agencies, such as the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, the Korea Development Institute, the Korea Gas Corporation and the Small and Medium Business Administration.
 
The journalists will produce documentaries introducing South Korea based on their visit, which will be aired in their countries starting from next month.
