US High School to Launch Korean Classes

A high school in the U.S. state of Maryland will include Korean as part of its official foreign language curriculum 

According to education officials in Prince George’s County in Maryland on Monday, Eleanor Roosevelt High School will teach Korean from the 2016 to 2017 school year beginning in August.

Eleanor Roosevelt High School is located about 16 kilometers northeast of the White House. 

According to federal statistics, four-point-six percent of Prince George’s County's total population of 904-thousand were Asian as of 2014.
