South Korean swimmer An Se-hyeon has set a new domestic record in the women's 50-meter butterfly since the previous record was set eight years ago.

The 21-year-old finished a preliminary race in the women's 50-meter butterfly event at a record 26-point-62 seconds during the 88th Dong-A Swimming Championships held at Nambu University in the city of Gwangju on Tuesday.

The previous record of 26-point-76 seconds was set by Ryu Yoon-ji in 2008 at the Korean National Sports Festival.
