Jeonju Film Fest Ends with Record Screenings, Sellouts

The 17th Jeonju International Film Festival, a celebration of independent and arthouse films, draws to an end on Saturday after a ten-day run.
 
In a news conference held on Saturday morning, the organizing committee said that this year's festival is focused on defending freedom of expression and the efforts bore fruit as audiences highly assessed this aspect.
 
This year, 211 films from 45 countries were screened in Jeonju. Ticket sellouts posted a record high at 219 as well as the number of screenings at 503.
 
As of Friday, 70-thousand-500 spectators visited the festival.
