South Korea’s Choi Mi-sun has grabbed three gold medals at the second stage of the 2016 Archery World Cup held in Medellin, Colombia.
The reigning world champion won the recurve women’s individual final against China’s Wu Jiaxin by a set score of 6-0 on Monday, the last day of the second stage.
Choi, along with her compatriots Ki Bo-bae and Chang Hye-jin, also defeated the Chinese team in the final group match 6-0.
Another gold was secured for Team South Korea when the duo of Choi and male archer Kim Woo-jin won beat Japan in the recurve mixed final 5-1.
Kim Woo-jin and his teammates Ku Bon-chan and Lee Seung-yun, meanwhile, added one more gold medal by winning the men’s group final over Mexico 6-0.
With an aim to sweep in medals at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, the South Korean archery team has brightened the prospects by earning golds in four out of five recurve events at the World Cup.
