S. Korea’s Son Wins Clubs Gold at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup

South Korea’s rising rhythmic gymnastics star Son Yeon-jae won a gold in the clubs at the International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG) World Cup, showcasing her potential as the Rio De Janeiro summer games approaches.
 
Son earned 18-point-550 points in the clubs at the last day of the world cup rhythmic gymnastics games’ individual events finals held in Arena Armeets in Sofia, Bulgaria.
 
Ganna Rizatdniova of Ukraine won the silver with 18-point-450 points. Russia’s Arina Averina came third with 18-point-300 points. Three-time world champ Yana Kudryavtseva was fourth with 18-point-250 points after dropping her clubs.
 
This is the second time Son has won a gold in the world cup series this season after winning her first gold in the ball events in the Espoo world cup held from February 26th to 28th.
