Regional Tournament for Little League Baseball World Series to be Held in S. Korea

A regional tournament that will determine which teams will qualify for the 70th Little League Baseball World Series will open in South Korea for the first time in 33 years.
 
The Korea Little League Baseball Federation announced on Tuesday that the Asia-Pacific and Middle East Regional Tournament will be held in Seoul and the city of Namyangju in Gyeonggi Province between June 25th and July 2nd.
 
The 70th Little League Baseball World Series will be held in South Williamsport in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania from August 18th to the 28th.
 
Players under the age of 12 from 12 countries, including last year’s winner Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia will compete in the regional tournament.
