Tour de Korea 2016 to Open in Busan on Sunday

The Tour de Korea 2016 will open in the southern city of Busan this weekend.
 
The Busan city government announced Wednesday that the cycling race will kick off at the Yacht Marina in Suyoung Bay on Sunday for an eight-day run.
 
Some 200 participants from 15 countries will cycle along a one-thousand-260-kilometer route, passing through seven cities in the nation. They will begin from Busan and finish in Seoul via Gumi, Gunsan, Daejeon, Asan and Chungju.
 
The opening ceremony is scheduled to be held from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. The race will end on June 12th.
 
The Busan city government will host a bicycle festival as part of celebratory events.
