KBS Signs MOU with French Broadcaster

Korean Broadcasting System(KBS) will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with a French broadcaster as a way to mark 130 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

KBS Vice President Chun Jin-kuk signed a memorandum of understanding on sharing contents and broadcasts with French TV station TV5 Monde on Friday.

Under the agreement, KBS will be able to provide Korean contents to Europe, Africa and South America using the French broadcaster's transmission network.

TV5 Monde is a global French-language broadcaster with some 250 million viewers worldwide.

The agreement was signed at TV5 Monde headquarters in Paris attended by Korea Communications Commission Chairman Choi Sung-joon and Olivier Schrameck, president of the French Media Regulatory Authority called the Conseil Superieur de l'Audiovisuel(CSA).
