Anchor: Just 50 days remain until the 2016 Summer Olympics open in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. South Korea is eyeing to grab more than ten gold medals in the games which will be the first to be held in South America.

Report: In 50 days, the 2016 Summer Olympics will open in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, the fastest person in the world, will aim to come out on top once again as he strives to become the first person ever to win three consecutive Olympic golds in the 100-meter, 200-meter and four-by-100-meter relays.
American swimmer Michael Phelps, who won 18 gold medals alone since the 2004 Summer Olympics, will seek to post a record that will be forever remembered in history at the upcoming games.
Other star athletes, including Brazil’s soccer sensation Neymar and Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, are also all eagerly waiting for the summer games to begin.
In Rio, South Korea is aiming to rank within the top ten of the medal tally for the fourth consecutive Olympics.
On the opening day of the games, pistol shooter Jin Jong-oh, will seek to sweep up a gold medal for the third straight Olympics. South Korea is also aiming for golds in the archery and judo events.
Attention is also being drawn to whether Son Yeon-jae will become South Korea’s first rhythmic gymnast to secure an Olympic medal.
South Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan, meanwhile, will not be allowed to compete in Brazil. Park was not included on the list of swimmers to compete as he remains under the Korean Sport Olympic Committee’s ban for violating anti-doping regulations.
The 2016 Summer Olympics will open under the slogan “A New World” on August fifth and will run for 17 days.
