More People in S. Korea Travel Alone

More people are traveling alone with an increase of solo households in South Korea.
 
According to online travel agency Interpark Tour on Sunday, the number of people who booked flight tickets for overseas trips or tour packages for solo trips increased an annual average of 54 percent over the past three years.
 
In addition, 24 percent of people who reserved hotel rooms through the online agency for their summer holidays between July and August booked single rooms.
 
According to the agency’s analysis of its hotel reservation data for the summer holiday season, Osaka was the most popular overseas destination for solo travelers.
 
Fukuoka came in second, followed by Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Prague, London, Bangkok, Sapporo and Shanghai.
