Riding on the huge sensation it created both in South Korea and China, the mega-hit KBS drama “Descendants of the Sun” will be made into a movie in China.
 
China’s Wuhan Evening Post said one of the country's biggest film production companies, Huace Film and TV, already bought the copyright to turn the drama into a film and called in Zhang Yibai to direct the film.
 
The daily said decisions have yet to be made on who will star in the movie, adding that Zhang is pondering about which actors to bring on board.
 
Zhang was quoted as saying that he feels great pressure in selecting actors as the KBS drama was a huge hit due to the attractive male and female protagonists.
 
However, Zhang was quick to add that he will seek to achieve something new based on the drama and vowed to make his own unique film that is better than the drama.
