According to a survey released Thursday by the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry, business conditions in South Korea are expected to improve in the second half of the year, anchored by improving circumstances outside the country, including a recovery in the U.S. economy.

The survey said outside factors also include increasing demand in China in line with the decline of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), as well as positive expectations of the government's economy-stimulation measures.
