Lydia Ko Wins 4th Victory of Season at Marathon Classic

Pro-golfer Lydia Ko has picked up her fourth victory of the 2016 season on the U.S. LPGA tour.
 
The South Korea-born New Zealander and world number one scored two-under 67 in the fourth round on the final day of the Marathon Classic, which was held at Highland Meadows Golf Club in the U.S. state of Ohio on Sunday.
 
She carded 14-under 270 to outlast South Korean Lee Mi-rim and Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn, and clinch her victory after extra holes.
 
With the latest win, Ko has recemented her position as the top player in the world.
 
She has won the Kia Classic, the ANA Inspiration and the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship since the 2016 season began.
 
South Korean golfer Kim Hyo-joo lost the momentum seized initially after solely leading the pack until the third round. She finished at fourth place with 13-under par.
