Placido Domingo to Perform in Seoul Oct. 2

World-renowned tenor Placido Domingo will hold a concert at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena on October second.

The concert's repertoire is not finalized yet, but organizers expect the program to be similar to his last concert in Seoul in 2014.

Operatic arias are expected in the first half of the show while a more diverse lineup including musical and pop numbers will likely fill the second half.

The 75-year-old born in Spain in 1941 was one of the top three global tenors along with Luciano Pavarotti and José Carreras. He made headlines last year when he decided to redefine his vocal category and perform baritone roles.

Domingo has performed in South Korea five times so far since his first concert in 1991.
