S. Korea Beats Sweden in Final Football Warm-up Before Rio

South Korea's Olympic football team defeated Sweden 3-2 on Friday in the final warm-up match ahead of the Rio de Janeiro Summer Games.

Midfielder Moon Chang-jin scored twice in the 38th and 41st minute of the first half of the game held at Pacaembu Stadium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Sweden was the first to score 26 minutes into the game while Ryu Seung-woo clinched the victory for Team Korea with his goal nine minutes into the second half.

Though Sweden scored its second goal just two minutes later, the final result was a 3 to 2 victory for South Korea against the European powerhouse. 

Striker Hwang Hee-chan's performance in the match was notable as he assisted the three goals.

With the boosted confidence, the Olympic team will move to Salvador in eastern Brazil to prepare for the first Group league match against Fiji on August fourth.
