S. Korea's Rio Paralympics Squad Launched

South Korean athletes competing in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Paralympics have held a launching ceremony, vowing to win at least ten gold medals and finish among the top 12 of the medal standings.

The athletes pledged their best performances in the Games at the ceremony held on Tuesday at the Seoul Olympic Parktel in southern Seoul.

The 139-member South Korean squad, including 81 athletes, will compete in eleven events in the Rio Paralympics, which will be held from September seventh to the 18th. 

The South Korean squad will arrive in Rio on August 31st after an onsite training session in Atlanta in the U.S. from August 23rd to the 30th.
