S. Korean Taekwondo Fighter Lee Dae-hoon Wins Bronze at Rio

South Korea's taekwondo fighter Lee Dae-hoon won his second straight Olympic medal as he clinched bronze at Rio on Thursday.

The 24-year-old defeated Jaouad Achab of Belgium 11-7 in the men's under 68-kilogram bronze medal match at Carioca Arena 3.

Lee got a silver medal in the 58-kilogram division in London 2012, but raised his weight class at the Rio Games.

Lee had vied for gold, but was defeated by Ahmad Abughaush of Jordan in the quarterfinals and had to kick his way through the repechage stage to grab the third spot on the podium.

He became the first South Korean male taekwondo athlete to win medals in two consecutive Olympics.
