Rhythmic Gymnast Son Yeon-jae Finishes Fourth in All-around

South Korean rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae finished fourth in the individual all-around final at the Rio Olympics and failed to win the country’s first Olympic rhythmic gymnastics medal.
 
Son scored 72-point-898 points from her hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon programs, but was unsuccessful in winning a medal as she ranked fourth. Ganna Rizatdinova of Ukraine took the bronze with 73-point-583 points.
 
Margarita Mamun of Russia grabbed the gold medal with 76-point-483 points, while her compatriot, Yana Kudryavtseva, won the silver with 75-point-608 points.
 
Son Yeon-jae said, “I’m so happy that I could perform at the Olympics with the support and love from so many people. I’m very grateful and satisfied regardless of the results.”
