Team Korea Returns Home from Rio

Team Korea led by the South Korean delegation head Chung Mong-gyu arrived at Incheon International Airport on Wednesday morning, as citizens welcomed them with applause.

Upon arrival the delegation attended a return ceremony and a news conference.

Many athletes, including the archery team, fencer Park Sang-young and shooter Jin Jong-oh, attended the return ceremony

However, Park In-bee who won gold in women’s golf as well as judo athletes arrived a day before and were not present at the ceremony.

Taekwondo athletes, who won two golds and three bronzes at Rio are scheduled to return home on Thursday.

South Korea finished eighth in medal standings at the Summer Games with nine gold, three silver, and nine bronze, extending its top ten finish rally to four straight Olympics.
