The Korean War movie “Operation Chromite” will be shown at military bases in the U.S. and other countries worldwide.
CJ Entertainment America said Wednesday that the U.S. Army and Air Force Exchange Service decided to play the movie from September 16th at 33 bases across the U.S. and 38 bases in countries such as the U.K., Germany, the Netherlands and Japan.
The AAFES under the Defense Department owns and operates two-thousand-440 military facilities, including movie theaters, around the world.
Meanwhile, the movie is still enjoying a lot of popularity in North America.
Global media measurement and research company Rentrack said that the film amassed more than one million U.S. dollars in ticket sales in North America as of Wednesday morning.
“Operation Chromite” is about the famed Incheon landing operation during the Korean War, starring Hollywood actor Liam Neeson as General Douglas MacArthur, the UN commander-in-chief who led the campaign to drive the invading North Korean forces out of South Korea.
