Park Calls Kim Jong-un Uncontrollable

President Park Geun-hye says North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is "uncontrollable" as he refuses to listen to any country or the international community so he can hold onto power.

The president held a national security meeting Friday evening upon arriving back to South Korea from Laos after she cut her overseas trip short.

During the meeting, she also said that already the second nuclear test this year cannot but be viewed as a head-on challenge to the international community. She said the patience of South Korea and the world is reaching a limit.

Regarding the possibility the North could wage more provocations, Park called on the military and government agencies to closely monitor the situation and maintain a steadfast defense posture to immediately respond to any such acts.

She also underscored that Pyongyang's nuclear threat is "urgent and existing" for South Korea and the response from Seoul and the international community must be completely different from the past.
