First Korean Documentary Film Festival to Open in Berlin

The Korean Cultural Center in Germany will hold the first Korean Documentary Film Festival in Berlin on Friday.

The four-day festival will show eight documentaries illuminating diverse lives of Koreans.

The opening film, “My Love, Don’t Cross That River,” is about the lives and love of an almost-centenarian couple. The documentary attracted more than four-point-eight million viewers in South Korea alone.

The movie's director, Jin Mo-young, will have a dialogue session with the audience after the showing.

The festival will also screen “Manshin: Ten Thousand Spirits,” “My Fair Wedding” and “Twinsters.”
