Pittsburgh Pirate's Kang Jung-ho Named 'NL Player of the Week'

South Korean Kang Jung-ho of the Pittsburgh Pirates has been named the “National League Player of the Week” for the first time since his Major League Baseball debut.

The MLB gave the third baseman the honor on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kendrys Morales of the Kansas City Royals was named the American League Player of the Week.

Kang earned the title after batting .522 with four home runs and ten RBIs in seven games.

In his first game after recovering from a shoulder injury, he showed a strong performance with two homers and three hits in a matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals last Tuesday.
