Team Korea at 18th with 6 Gold in Rio Paralympics

South Korea stands in 18th place in the Rio Paralympics medal tally with just two days left of the games, with six gold, nine silver and 15 bronze medals. 

Two gold and three bronze were added on Friday alone.

The gold came from the men's table tennis group event against Taiwan. Kim Young-gun, in particular, won his fifth medal overall in the Paralympics.

In boccia , Jeong Ho-won also grabbed gold in the mixed individual against his Greek opponent.

South Korean athletes in women's table tennis also clinched a precious bronze in the group event.

Another bronze was added in boccia by Yoo Won-jeong in the mixed individual match.

In archery, Kim Mi-soon won her second bronze of the games in the women's individual compound following her first medal earlier in the week.
