S. Korea's Chun In-gee Wins Evian Championship with Record Score

South Korean golfer Chun In-gee has won the Evian Championship in France with a record score.

Chun claimed her second LPGA title at the final major of the season with a combined 21-under 263 at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains on Sunday, four strokes ahead of her compatriots Park Sung-hyun and Ryu So-yeon.

It is a record-low score at a major championship by a female or male player.

With the victory, Chun has also become the second golfer in LPGA history to win her first two victories at majors, after lifting the trophy at the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open.

Meanwhile, world number one and defending champion Lydia Ko of New Zealand finished 43rd at two-over 286.

Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand shot a four-under 67 on Sunday and finished tied for ninth at seven-under 277.
