Former head coach of South Korea’s national football team, Guus Hiddink, has said that he does not wish to lead Team Korea again.
Hiddink, who led Team Korea to the semifinals of the 2002 World Cup, was responding to a question about the possibility of becoming the team's coach again during a meeting with fans at a hotel in Seoul on Monday.
He said it would be difficult to repeat the success achieved at the 2002 World Cup, given that such a feat was extremely significant. Hiddink was quick to stress that the reason behind his conclusion is not due to current players' lack in capability, but because it would be difficult to repeat the same achievement of 2002.
Hiddink, who was once regarded to be a potential candidate for head coach of England's team, expressed satisfaction with having served as the interim coach of Chelsea and said he has no desire to serve as a coach right away.
