English Premier League footballer Son Heung-min has been named player of the month by a British football statistics Web site.
Whoscored.com announced Monday that the Tottenham Hotspur forward is the Premier League player of the month for September.
It said that September was a sensational month for the South Korean international, as he scored four goals and registered one assist in three league games to finish as the highest rated player in England’s top-tier.
In his first league appearance of the season on September tenth, Son helped his team beat Stoke City 4-0 by netting two goals and registering one assist. On September 24th, he also scored two goals and led his team to defeat Middlesbrough 2-1.
So far this season, he has already scored as many goals as he did during the entire course of the previous season.
Son moved from Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen to England’s Tottenham in August last year. He played in 28 games and scored four goals in the last season.
