The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced a plan to operate a booth promoting the Korean language at this year’s Language Show Live, which will be held from Friday to Sunday in London.
Operated by the King Sejong Institute Foundation, which is in charge of Korean language education abroad, the pavilion will introduce the Korean writing system “hangeul.” It will also display various cultural contents and accessories and household items designed with hangeul, such as bags, dishes and postcards.
Special on-site classes and online lessons will be available for foreigners to familiarize themselves with the Korean language. Different levels of Korean language textbooks will be provided while performances of traditional Korean music will be presented.
The London Language Show Live is an international linguistic and cultural event held in October every year with about ten-thousand people from some 160 organizations participating. The 2016 fair marks the show's 28th installment.
