Fair Celebrating Fashion, Culture to Open in Seoul

A government-sponsored fashion-culture fair will kick off on Tuesday with an opening ceremony at the J-Gran House in central Seoul.

The 2017 Spring/Summer edition of the "Fashion KODE" hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to connect local designers and international buyers to eventually help domestic brands enter overseas markets.

About 500 domestic and foreign buyers are expected to participate in this year's fair, which runs until Friday.

Apart from the business and networking events, a "Fashion CT(Culture Technology) Zone" will be open for visitors where they can try their hand at pattern making using a 3D design system. A 3-D makeup testing station will also be one of the fair's highlights.

The fair is open to the public and admission is free.
