Ocarina Performance by 8,647 Residents Sets Guinness Record

The single largest Ocarina performance by residents of Nam district in Gwangju City has entered the Guinness Book of World Records.

A total of 8,647 residents took part in the grand recital on October eleventh and was officially recognized on Wednesday as the world's largest.

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Asia Culture Center in the city, the recital included beloved tunes like Arirang, the Morning Dew, Chum-mil-mil and so on.

The previous record was set in Britain in 2013 by three-thousand-81 participants.
