Prize Money for First PGA Tour Event in S. Korea Set at $9.25 Mln

The prize money for the first PGA Tour event in South Korea set to open next year has been set at nine-point-25 million U.S. dollars.
 
The PGA Tour and South Korea's CJ Group, which is the event’s title sponsor, unveiled on Monday the purse for the “CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges” during a signing ceremony in Seoul.
 
CJ Group will host the event for ten years as part of the PGA Tour’s Asian Swing. 

The first CJ Cup will take place from October 19th to the 22nd of next year and will see the participation of 78 players. 
 
The winner will receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a two-year exemption on the tour.
