The names of all UN soldiers killed during the Korean War and buried at the UN Memorial Cemetery in Busan will be called out for the first time.
The government announced Monday that the roll call of UN and Korean Augmentation to the United States Army(KATUSA) soldiers will be held on Thursday at the cemetery in the southern port city.
Some two-thousand-300 fallen UN soldiers, including 36 KATUSAs, are buried at the cemetery. It will be the first time that a roll call will be held there.
The heads of the UN Peace Memorial Hall and the KATUSA Veterans Association will call out the names and ranks of the war dead in English and Korean.
The event will be held ahead of the observation of Turn Toward Busan on Friday. The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs has organized Turn Toward Busan since 2008, encouraging people around the nation to observe one minute of silence facing the UN Memorial Cemetery on November eleventh at 11 a.m.
