'Luck-key' Helps Boost Viewership of Korean Flicks by 30%

Ticket sales and viewership of Korean films in October have shot up well over a combined 30 percent year-on-year. 

According to figures released by the Korean Film Council, the total number of moviegoers watching Korean films in October was 17-million 160-thousand, up 15 percent. Ticket sales totaled almost 24 billion won, up 20-point-five percent from the same month last year.

Leading the box office sales was the comedy flick "Luck-key" starring Yoo Hae-jin, which attracted five-point-seven million viewers in October alone. Second on the list was "Doctor Strange" with two-point-five million moviegoers.
