42nd Seoul Independent Film Festival to Open

The 42nd Seoul Independent Film Festival will open next Thursday at the CGV Arthouse in Apgujeong-dong in southern Seoul. 
 
The festival will kick off with an opening ceremony and a screening of Director Park Suk-young’s “Ash Flower.” After the movie screening, the Kang Baek-soo Band will give a performance.
 
A total of 114 movies will be shown at the CGV Arthouse, Indiespace and Seoul Art Cinema through December ninth.
 
Other diverse events in store include meet-and-greets with audience members, discussion forums and late-night screenings.

Presented by the Association of Korean Independent Film and Video and the Korean Film Council, the festival is an annual competition that features works of all genres and those that transcend traditional boundaries.
