S. Korean Animation Receives Award at Foyle Film Festival

South Korean film "Green Light" has won the award for best international short animation at the Foyle Film Festival in Northern Ireland.

Directed by Kim Seong-min, the three-dimensional animation is about a girl and a robot who team up to try to revive a city destroyed and abandoned after a nuclear war.

The 17-minute animation was also invited to the 21st Seoul International Cartoon Animation Festival in July.

Winners of awards at the Foyle Film Festival, held every November in Derry, Northern Ireland, often go on to receive Academy Awards the following year.
