A provisional office designed to carry out the project of Gaesung Industrial Complex will be housed at the Ja-Nam-San Motel in Gaesung City, North Korea.

The chairman of the Korea Land Corporation Kim Jin Ho said Tuesday that the South Korean construction team will lease the Ja-Nam-San motel, which is close to the Gaesung Industrial Complex. 20 to 30 engineers are set to reside in the motel to conduct seismic surveys and supervise the construction process.

Kim said he conveyed the idea of leasing the motel to the North Korean vice chairman of the Asia Pacific Peace Committee, Lee Jong Hyuk, who responded positively to the offer.

Kim added that, once the office is established, the real construction work might start later this year or early next year.
