BTS, Twice Picked as Top K-Pop Singers This Year

The fans have spoken: Bangtan Boys and girl group Twice are the world's most beloved K-pop groups this year.

That's according to a KBS World Radio survey of about two-thousand listeners in 87 countries.

More than 35 percent of the respondents voted for Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, as their favorite Korean boy band. Exo was next, with nearly 28 percent, and Got7 came in third with 12 percent of the vote.

BTS also took the year's best song category with their single "Fire." 

Among Korean girl groups, Twice was chosen as the favorite by 30 percent of the respondents. Black Pink was next at 27 percent, followed by Sistar at 25 percent.
