According to the South Korean Embassy in Greece on Wednesday, TV 100, the public broadcaster in Greece’s second major city, Thessaloniki, will air the popular South Korean drama for 19 weeks.

The 16 episodes of the drama, as well as three special episodes with interviews of the production team, will be aired at 9 p.m. every Wednesday. The broadcaster will also rerun each episode at 4:30 p.m. on Sundays.

The drama will also be made available throughout Greece and Cyprus on cable channels.

TV 100 expects the drama to draw many Greek viewers as the drama was partly set in popular Greek tourist spots such as Zakynthos and Arachova.

This marks the first time “The Descendants of the Sun” will be aired in Europe.
