Swimmer Park Tae-hwan Grabs Second Gold at Short-Course Championship

Swimmer Park Tae-hwan has grabbed a second gold medal at the world's top short-course competition.

Park won the men's 200-meter freestyle at the 13th FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships in Windsor, Canada on Wednesday.

The former Olympic gold medalist achieved a personal best of one minute 41-point-03 seconds and broke the previous meet record set by American Ryan Lochte in 2010.

Earlier in the week, Park won the 400-meter freestyle, becoming the first South Korean to win a gold medal at the competition.

The short-course championship is an event that is held every two years in 25-meter pools, which is half the length of Olympic-sized pools.
