Hanbok Festival to be Held in Central Seoul Friday

A local civic organization will host a festival of the traditional Korean attire hanbok at the Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul on Friday.

The non-profit organization "Join Us Korea" says the event sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government will promote the charms of hanbok, especially targeting foreigners residing in South Korea and children from multicultural families.

The festival will feature various hands-on programs such as group tours around the neighborhood of traditional Korean "hanok" homes, a photo opportunity and a calligraphy demonstration, as well as kite-flying and top-spinning contests.

Those interested can sign up to participate online.
