The Test of Proficiency in Korean, or TOPIK, will be administered in 252 regions in 73 countries next year.

South Korea’s National Institute for International Education said Thursday that the 51st, 52nd, 54th and 55th TOPIK exams will be conducted in the U.S., Europe, Africa and Oceania in 2017.

The 53rd test will be held in South Korea, China and Japan in July.

Introduced in 1997, the test is taken by foreigners and ethnic Koreans living overseas who want to study or find jobs in Korea.
