Senior Presidential aide on political affairs Kwon Oh Gyu reiterated Friday President Roh Moo Hyun's vision of achieving a national 20,000 dollar per capita income, adding that the government needs to reevaluate its progress on other major national objectives in light of the president's personal zeal for the vision.

Taking appreciating currency value and economic growth rates into consideration, Kwon projected that the 20,000 dollar per capita income could be achieved around the year 2012.
