Jung Dong-hyun has finished in 14th place at the Alpine Skiing World Cup, achieving the best-ever international result for a South Korean in the men's slalom.
29-year-old Jung clocked a total of two minutes and two-point-62 seconds at the 30-men final of the men's slalom at the World Cup held in Zagreb, Croatia on Thursday.
His finish, combining 59-point-12 seconds in the first run with one minute three-point-five seconds in the second, made him the 14th fastest.
Jung particularly made an impression with his performance in the first run, trailing the leader Feller Manuel of Austria only by zero-point-99 seconds.
The competition featured the world’s top six rankers, including world number one Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway, who came in third at two minutes and zero-point-eight seconds.
Manfred Moelgg of Italy won the event with a time of two minutes and zero-point-zero-three seconds, followed by Felix Neureuther of Germany with two minutes and zero-point-75 seconds.
