South Korean pop superstar Rain has announced plans to marry actress Kim Tae-hee at an unspecified future date. 

The two have been dating for just over four years, after meeting on the set of a commercial in 2011.

In a social media posting Tuesday, Rain promised to be a good husband and family man, saying Kim has been by his side in both good and bad times.

Rain skyrocketed to fame after making his singing debut in 2002, and was named one of TIME magazine's "100 Most Influential People" in both 2006 and 2011.
