South Korean striker Son Heung-min of the Tottenham Spurs in the English Premier League scored twice to help his team win a come-from-behind victory.
In a match against the Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, Son scored the team’s first goal in the second half when his team was trailing 2-0. He scored again in the seventh minute of stoppage time to complete Tottenham’s stunning 4-3 victory.
With the two goals, Son scored a record eleven goals in one season for a Korean player in the English Premier League. He also has become the first Korean player to score more than ten goals in one season in the league.
The previous record of eight goals was set by former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung during the 2014-2015 season and Ki Sung-yeung of Swansea City during the 2010 and 2011 season.
Football statistics website Whoscored.com gave nine-point-four points to Son for his superb play.
