S. Korea Adds 2 Gold Medals at Short Track World Cup

South Korea won another two gold medals on the final day of competition at the International Skating Union(ISU) Short Track World Cup.
Kim Ye-jin clocked 43-point-842 seconds in the women’s 500-meter final held in Minsk, Belarus, on Sunday, beating Italy’s Arianna Fontana by zero-point-117 seconds.
Kim also won a bronze medal in the women’s three-thousand-meter relay, along with her teammates, Noh Ah-rum, Lee So-youn and Lee Eun-byul. Russia won the event with Italy finishing second.
Lim Yong-jin won the men’s one-thousand-meter final with a time of one-minute-26-point-119 seconds, while France’s Thibaut Fauconnet came in second at one-minute-26-point-195 seconds.
South Korea wrapped up the three-day event with five gold medals, one silver and two bronzes.
Many of the Team Korea members were reserve athletes competing on behalf of key national athletes, who are preparing for the Sapporo Asian Games taking place this month.
