K-Pop Concert Wishing for Pyeongchang Olympics' Success to be Held Saturday

A K-Pop concert will open in Pyeongchang on Saturday to wish success upon the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games and to attract tourists.
 
The Seoul Metropolitan City, Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province announced on Thursday that the K-Drama Festa will open in the Yongpyong Dome at 5 p.m. Saturday with just one year left until the Winter Games.
 
The event is expected to see around five-thousand people, including three-thousand foreign tourists. Super Junior’s Leeteuk and I.O.I’s Chung Ha will be the event’s hosts.
 
Top stars will take the stage, including EXO, BTOB and ASTRO. Singers who are famous for singing original soundtracks from popular TV dramas, including Gummy, Lyn and Kim Bum-soo, will also give performances.
 
Before the singers take the stage, images introducing popular TV dramas, including Winter Sonata and Goblin, will be screened followed by a Hanbok fashion show.
 
The event will be filmed and then broadcast in 188 countries as part of efforts to promote the Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games.
