South Korean speed skater Choi Min-jeong has clinched gold in women’s short track at the Winter Asian Games in Sapporo.

Choi finished first with a time of two minutes 29-point-416 seconds in the one-thousand-500 meter final at Makomanai Indoor Ice Rink on Monday. Her compatriot Shim Suk-hee came in second with two minutes 29-point-569 seconds.

South Korea’s Park Se-yeong also grabbed a gold medal in the men’s one-thousand-500 meter short track final.

Lee Seung-hoon won gold in the men’s five-thousand meter final, setting a new Asian record of six minutes 24-point-32 seconds.
